Cocoa has Arrived
On Monday we entered the room to see an Elf Cam installed. Cocoa left us a letter and explained the Santa and Cocoa will keep their eyes on us as we go through the month. It was a pleasant surprise to come back to.
Holiday Shopping
On Thursday the children were able to go shopping. Their lists were ready and you could feel the excitement throughout the classroom. It was amazing to watch the children shop.
Amplify Science
We are wrapping up Chapter 2 of Science. We are reviewing the material and the children had a chance to recreate the solar panel experiment. The simulation app was a huge success.
Social Studies
The children are learning how holidays are celebrated in different parts of the world.
The suitcases and passports are ready. The children learned about Israel and Italy this week. They took part in playing with a dreidel and learned about La Befana of Italy.
Math
We finished up Chapter 3 and are moving onto Multiplication.
Student of the Month
On Friday the November Students of the Month were announced. Our new character trait for December is Empathy. Congratulations to Dante for SOM.
Cookies with Santa
Friday night Santa arrived at SOS. It was great to see so many children and their families. The children made reindeer food and ornaments. There was excitement all around. It was such a successful night.
The days are flying and the children are so excited. It is great to hear all the wonderful discussions that the children are having.
