Spring is in the Air and Learning is Everywhere

Spring is in the air and learning is everywhere!

5th Grade:

We had another week of learning and discovering.  The EL Education Curriculum is up and running.  The 

students are making inferences, learning about the rainforest, writing summaries and taking part in great discussions.

Informational Writing will include the Rainforest and why it is important to save it.

The students are watching videos, taking notes and organizing their research so that they can put together an eBook about the Rainforest and how diverse it is.

4th Grade:

Our 4th graders are also working with informational reading and writing.  They are learning about Animal Defenses.  They are summarizing, reading how animals defend themselves and having conversations about how animals protect themselves.  

Coming up this Week:

We will be celebrating Reading Week.  Our theme is Hope-Heal-Read

We are planning many wonderful activities to tie in with this theme.  Please make sure your child has a book to read in his or her backpack on Tuesday.  We will be having times built into our schedule to Drop Everything and Read.

This book will be read to the classes, as well as, many others that have to do with having hope and healing during this panademic.
