Week of October 12-October 16
Fifth Grade
The week went well. Lots of things are going on in Zirilli's ELA class. The fifth graders are continuing with Ungifted, they are making a character quilt and they have completed their narrative benchmark.
Some of our fifth graders have even shared their narratives to the class. I truly enjoy listening to their writing. They have such great imaginations and creative minds.
questions from the chapter and we discuss what has been happening in the chapters.
We are moving right along and are continuing to build connections. The children are completing assignments, participating in class discussions and are fully involved in the learning that is happening all around.
Virtual Learners
A couple of reminders for our students learning from home-
Make sure you attend our google meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You should be on during your class time for ELA. During our meets we discuss work and go over any new lessons that we are doing.
Once you complete assignments you must submit them to me via email or google classroom, depending on how the assignment is given.
You must keep your camera on during the whole time and microphone off until you have something to add or ask a question.
I am concerned that some of you are not meeting up with the class and are missing crucial information.
The link to the google meet is right in the google classroom banner at the top of the page.
Fourth Grade
Our fourth graders are also moving right along as well.
They are reading The Chocolate Touch with Mrs. Davia. They completed their narrative benchmark as well this week. I have also continued to do read alouds during Intervention.
Don't forget- tomorrow the children will be home as teachers will be attending workshops. We are putting things up for them to work on. Fourth graders were given a choice board, both a hard copy and on google classroom.
