The past week was another productive and busy one. Our 4th graders took the ELA RICAS Assessments.
They did such a great job with taking their time, and putting in great effort.
I always give then that extra motivation to keep them going. We do have smartie pants in our 4th grade and they were on a roll as day 2 approached.
5th Graders:
While the 4th graders were busy testing, our 5th graders worked on the beginning of the trimester writing benchmark which was an opinion piece about cell phones in school. Many of the children had excellent reasons as to why they should or should not be permitted in schools.
Towards the end of the week, they presented their posters of the rainforest to their classmates and myself. They did such a nice job and getting up in front of the class is getting easier for most of them.
What a wonderful job they did on this project. More to come this week with the students choosing which project to work on and then presenting it to their classmates.
Very proud of their effort and hard work.
