We are getting ready for our final days of the 2020/2021 school year.
Lots of activities are being planned as we wrap up another year of leaning and growing.
Fourth Grade:
The fourth graders are finishing with many of their assignments/projects. In History they worked on Leadership slides. In Science they did a fun experiment about pollination. In Math the lessons on Fractions continues and in ELA they are reading a book with Mrs. Davia. There are many fun things going on and the children are still on task and engaged in all the happenings.
On Friday we had field day. Our P.E. teachers did a fantastic job in organizing many of the games and activities that the children participated in.
Once we finished with field day, the children watched a movie in the classroom.
Fifth Grade:
Our fifth graders will be leaving us soon. They are also busy finishing up any assignments/projects that they are working on. They will be holding their moving on ceremony on June 15th. They are very excited. However, we are still working hard in the classes. They seem to be enjoying Esperanza Rising as they read independently.
We will continue with this novel until the end of the school year. The book has many wonderful themes, they are making connections and learning about a different culture and how the people make a living to survive. They are also getting a sampling of the Spanish language which our Spanish speaking students are able to explain to us.
Coming Up...
June 10th begins our 10 day countdown to summer. Many of the teachers have fun activities/themes planned for the days. We are looking forward to them and cannot wait to begin. Your child's teacher will fill you in, as some days, the children will bring things from home that ties in with the day's theme.
