June 16, 2022 wraps up my 23rd year of teaching. I have had quite the year. I had two new coworkers, new curriculum to learn and teach, and some newly added medical issues. Overall, I had a pretty good year except for the few bumps in the road. The students in my home room amazed me each and everyday. Participation was high, learning was all around, and friendships blossomed.
We ended the year with 4 theme days that the children seemed to have enjoyed. The themes include Disney,,Camp, Beach and Game day.
The children were engaged and focused on each theme and took part in all sorts of activities .
We were treated to lemonade-thanks to our PTO.
We took a virtual field trip through the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory and the 4 parks of Disney World.
Our Camping Day started with making forts and reading.
The children really got into it ,there were flashlights, glow lights, blankets and pillows to create the scene, along with a fire projected on the big screen .
Beach Day was also a fun one.
Our last day was a day of signing yearbooks, cleaning out lockers and having good fun with board games
.
