Welcome:

I want to take this opportunity to officially welcome everyone to 4th Grade.  I am so excited to start the school year and get to know each of my students and their families.  4th Grade is going to be a wonderful journey of learning and discovering.  The children have had a great start so far and I know that it will get better with each day.

I will be publishing these blogs once a week and try to give you an insight as to how our week has progressed.  I hope you enjoy reading it and keeping on top of our weekly highlights.  

Our First Week in Review:

I worked throughout the summer preparing and the week before school started I was in the classroom setting up.  

I truly have enjoyed meeting your child and getting to know them.  

We have labeled supplies, learned procedures and routines and have done some fun activities throughout the first few days.  Here are some of the things we have already done:

 

The children are learning lessons on how to be kind to one another, creating collages of the things they like and we are reading some wonderful stories about the first day of school and what they like about themselves.

The following pictures showcase the books we read so far and some of the interesting activities we have done with our first week.  I hope that the children are coming home excited to talk about their days.  

Reminders:

If you  have not yet filled in the forms, please do so and return them as soon as possible so that all the information is updated.  

For the most part, everyone has brought in their supplies and will be prepared to start Tuesday in all subjects and with all the work.

Our Open House is on September 12th- I am looking forward to meeting all of you.
