Good Morning, I am posting this early because tomorrow I celebrate Thanksgiving with my sister and her family, so I will be a little busy. We had another tremendous week of learning and growing. We can tell that the holidays are just around the corner and everyone is hustling and bustling with so many things to get done.
Monday:
We started in Wonders with a new week. Our essential question is about how animals inspire writers. We created Haiku poems based from the ones that were in our book.
The children came up with some really good ones, describing anything in nature.
Tuesday:
We had a blast on Tuesday while we were on the PC campus to watch the women play basketball. There was cheering, music and lots of fun all morning and into the early afternoon.
Wednesday:
Wednesday was a very long day as we held our Parent/Teacher Conferences at night. During the day we continued work in our Wonders book and played a Kahoot game to review our math unit. The children really do enjoy a good Kahoot game and it helps with reviewing the material.
Thursday:
We finally picked back up with Science. The children paired up and did a Text Features Scavenger Hunt with the book we have been reading.
