I hope you all enjoyed your Easter. I am just writing this blog now, as I was hosting the holiday with 16 people. This past week the children started their RICAS testing in ELA. The children worked productively and persevered in their effort.
Monday:
Tuesday:
Day 1 of RICAS began. Some of the 5th graders high fived the students as they entered the room. The morning was all about testing of ELA session 1. I am so proud of the children as they worked and put in great effort during the testing time. The afternoon was dedicated to Math and parallel and perpendicular lines.

Wednesday:
Day 2 of our testing continued. Afterwards, we took part in a fun arts and crafts project. The children made flowers all about them. Each pedal described them. It was great to do something fun after a morning of testing.
The flowers turned out great and added a spring scenery to the outside of our room.
Thursday:
The children worked on a simulator in Science that had to do with Fossils. They also continued work in their Wonders curriculum. Finally, Thursday was dedicated to Autism Awareness Month and many wore blue in honor of that. It was a short week and so much was done in the 4 days of school.
